Despite financial setbacks forcing the normally food-worthy airline to serve pretzels, the Italian airline placed third overall in Europe and sixth among major international airlines in 2017.

If you do not believe it, here are the numbers: Alitalia has ranked most punctual airline in the world in January 2018 with 91.89 percent of flights landed on schedule, according to the report published by the authoritative US independent data services society FlightStats which every month drafts the list of the most punctual airlines.

The data related to the month of January follow the success registered during 2017, confirming the Italian airline’s excellent on-time performance: with 82.78 per cent of flights arrived on time, Alitalia has ranked third most punctual airline among European Major Airlines and sixth among Major International Airlines.

With the score obtained in 2017, Alitalia continues in its efforts to improve its operational performances with respect to the previous two years when the on-time performance of its flights landed on schedule was 78.9 percent in 2016 and 75.3 percent in 2015.
